This report outlines what the Assembly has heard in our engagement with Community – from yarning circles, discussion papers, and the Treaty Survey, and how this has informed the Assembly’s work towards agreement with the State Government on the Treaty Negotiation Framework, the Treaty Authority and the Self-Determination Fund.
Treaty is about getting back the power to make the decisions that affect our communities, our culture and our Country. For this to happen, the journey to Treaty must be guided by Community every step of the way.
This report highlights how self-determination isn’t just the destination – it’s how we’re getting there.
