Photography and filming – CULTURAL PROTOCOL

NO filming, photography, or recording of any sort is to take place in the ceremonial area during the Community aspect of the event.
Filming, photography and recording in the ceremonial space can only begin once the youth representative carrying the Message Stick leaves the ceremonial area to invite and guide the Government reps down to the ceremonial area. This is scheduled to happen after 12:30pm.
Please respect this request form the Traditional Owners of Country. The dances and performances are ceremonial in nature and not for media consumption.
This includes personal photography – so please, put your phones away and enjoy the moment.
In short: No media in ceremonial area (lower area) before 12:30pm.
